We where very honoured to have the Garden opened by

HRH The Princess Royal on 13th December 2012

FUNDS RAISED £440 and a donation from Dave and Sandra Cross £200.

After a year of false promises and constant delays Tom decided enough was enough, we did not have enough donations to build the Garden and we could not let this go on any further, so he made the decision to pay out of his own pocket £370. I believe you will agree with me that Tom can feel very proud of what he has created.

We now have a supplier who will engrave a 6"x2" brass plaque with the name and service date of the member of staff for a cost of £10 free p&p. The supplier has asked us to remember the more words the smaller the print.

If you wish to place an order you can e-mail Mat Woodward on

 woody745@live.co.uk.

These are the first pictures of the Garden whilst being built.

The center stone was carved from a windowsill believed to be removed from the old Doctors House on the front road of the Prison.

The Prison now has the Gardens Party tending to the Garden and plaques.

We have come to realise that the plaques age alot quicker than we first thought due to being out in the elemnts.

However, we feel this helps the Garden to settle in to its surroundings.
